My Analysis of Gita - 2: Krishna's first response

My dear Arjuna, how have these impurities come upon you? They are not at all befitting a man who knows the progressive values of life. They do not lead to higher planets, but to infamy.
O son of Prtha, do not yield to this degrading impotence. It does not become you. Give up such petty weakness of heart and arise, O chastiser of the enemy.

Quite common when anybody even today see his/her friend appearing weak this is how they will react. "Come on how come you are thinking like this". Or when very intelligent man does something silly we all say that was not expected from him. Here also Krishna is saying this is not from you Arjuna. You don't belong to this league who should think like this.

When one is not attached to anything but at the same time accepts everything in relation to Krsna, one is rightly situated above possessiveness. On the other hand, one who rejects everything without knowledge of its relationship to Krsna is not as complete in his renunciation.
