Over the weekend

Weekends have become more peaceful. No tension of going to office which means get up at whatever time (appears undisciplined) and in relaxed way do chanting. Over weekend I chanted 16 rounds first thing after getting up (obviously after getting fresh and bathing). However the conditioning of mind is such that after 16 I just keep the beads and look for other things to do. Problem is with me only as there is no taste for chanting. There is difference between tasting the nectar and taking the medicine. I am currently taking it as medicine which will cure me and will develop the taste in me. My case is probably the worst as it was near death case and will take longer then usual to cure. But the hope that I would be able to taste the nectar of Holy Name drives me to chanting which appears good sign and eventually it is mercy of Krishna that I am getting this second chance out of no where.

A person acting in the service of Krsna with body, mind, intelligence and words is a liberated person even within the material world, although he may be engaged in many so-called material activities. (Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu 1.2.187)

When one is not attached to anything but at the same time accepts everything in relation to Krsna, one is rightly situated above possessiveness. On the other hand, one who rejects everything without knowledge of its relationship to Krsna is not as complete in his renunciation.
